Binghan Zhou is a third-year PhD student in the Department of Engineering, University of Cambridge. He received his Bachelor degree in Chemistry from Tsinghua University and MPhil in Engineering from Cambridge University. He is a member of Girton College.
His current research focuses on optimising hierarchically porous structures in synthetic materials using Murray’s law, a biomechanics principle describing the natural networks evolved for efficient mass transfer, such as leaf veins.
