Zucheng Gao is a second year PhD student with Prof. Anthony Challinor in the Institute of Astronomy and Kavli Institute for Cosmology, University of Cambridge. His current research interest is the large-scale structure formation in the early universe. He completed his undergrad in Peking University, where he gained Bachelor of Science in both Physics and Mathematics. During his undergrad, his research focuses were weak gravitational lensing and the quasi-normal modes of black holes.
Between 2019-2020, he was a research assistant at Caltech, working on simulations for the upcoming NASA space telescope for optical and near infrared line intensity mapping (LIM), SPHEREx. This work is still progressing. In the following year, he worked in the Kavli Institute of Astromony in Peking University, where he studied the lensing of gravitational waves in diffraction limit.
